On July 4th 2009 we lost not only a drumming great, but one of the great teachers too 
. Most of you would know Jim Chapin from his hugely successful book “Advanced Techniques for the Modern Drummer” and for his great efforts in passing down Sanford Moeller’s technique and teachings to the next generation of drummers.
Being the last surviving student of Sanford Moeller, many drummers like myself view Jim as the most official source for Moeller’s methods.
Condolences to the Chapin family and to his fans the world over. Thanks to Jim for his great videos and books that helped to improve my drumming technique and many others like me.
