A Paradiddle-diddle with a Flam on the first note.

I have often wondered why PAS decided to write this rudiment this way as a Paradiddle-diddle does not usually alternate the sticking. The version shown by PAS is in fact an Inverted Flam Paradiddle-diddle (according to most rudimental publications). I have included both versions in the sheet music examples.

Also known as a "Flamadiddle-diddle".

This rudiment was originally one of the Standard 26 American Drum Rudiments published by NARD.
