Four single strokes (double para) followed by a double stroke (diddle). Often played with an accented note on the first single stroke or on the first and third single strokes.
When played in the form of a triplet, it is also known as "Double Para-Trips".
This rudiment was part of the original Standard 13 American Drum Rudiments published by NARD.
